In what had been a personal endeavor that evolved into advisory and subject matter expert roles, since 2014, Levi Moore has served as a patient advocate. That history is chronicled below:
- Since 2014, has served as a contributing patient experience source and advocate for the University of Chicago Hospital Gastroenterology Department;
- Since 2015, has provided patient perspective and feedback to numerous market research firms representing medical device, treatment and patient satisfaction interests;
- Became member of the Chicago Area Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Network (CAPriCORN) Patient Community Advisory Committee in 2020;
- Represented CAPriCORN on the national PCORnet Engagement Workgroup in 2021 that was charged with investigating ways to improve patient engagement in clinical studies;
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, did radio interviews and social media appearances on patient education and vaccine awareness;
- As the Coordinator of the Foxglove Alliance Chicago public health coalition, launched the More Minorities in Medical Research (M3R) campaign in 2021;
- In 2021 became a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Surgeon General Initiative focused on national minority health equity and patient education serving on the Outreach Committee; and
- Selected to serve on Walgreens national Clinical Trial Patient Advisory Board in 2024.
