Serve as the Director of Communications & Government Affairs Director for the visual technology firm. Activities include:
- Developing strategies for the company’s MAVRIC defense/homeland security division.
- Securing a $100,000 State of Illinois Homeland Security grant; and
- Developing strategies to enter the Public Art and Digital Billboard markets via the company’s Fluid StillsÒ
#2 – TechAlt
Served as a registered City of Chicago and State of Illinois Lobbyist for the homeland security/technology company. Activities included:
- Tracking Illinois’ federal homeland security appropriations;
- Developing an internet-based communications system to update public sector stakeholders;
- Developing an initiative to educate local government officials on available homeland security funding for municipalities (later used with SPSS); and
- Developed multiple municipality strategies to market TechAlt products to public safety and law enforcement entities.
#3 – Chicago Systems Group
Served as a registered State of Illinois lobbyist for the information technology firm. Special attention was placed on monitoring procurement activities, assisting in R-F-P responses, providing regular reports on political dynamics within state government and educating legislators and their staff on information technology developments.
